The Rosso di Montepulciano of Romeo is an excellent red wine made with Sangiovese (90%), Colorino (5%) and Mammolo (5%) grapes farmed with organic methods.
It has an intense ruby red color, with fruity and floral bouquet with hints of red fruits, violet and dog rose in addition to a slightly balmy background.
In mouth, it’s lively and round, with fine tannins and a pleasant fruity aftertaste.
For these characteristics, it is perfect if drunk in combination with starters, first courses and soups, but also with plum jam tart.
The Romeo winery was born in Tuscany, in the Montepulciano region, well-known for its red wines.
Mr. Massimo Romeo, who since 1982 has used biological cultivation and wine-making methods, manages this small winery. This type of cultivation, in combination with 6 hectares of land cultivated with native grape varieties, contributes to the production of high quality wines; Mr. Romeo handled they personally, by from harvest to cellar.
