More info

The Barolo Serralunga of Schiavenza winery is an elegant red wine made with Nebbiolo grapes farmed on the hills of Serralunga.

With a deep ruby red color, at nose it’s ample and deep, with notes of berries, fern and orange peel.

In mouth, it is wide and silky with intense tannins and a well-balanced sapidity on the final.

For these characteristics, it is an excellent wine to drink with red meats dishes, game, cured meats and seasoned cheeses

Manufacturer

Schiavenza

The Schiavenza winery was founded in Serralunga in 1956.
The origin of the name has to be searched in the past; in fact in times past the Opera Pia Barolo owned both the domain and the lands, and sharecropper called “Schiavenza” in dialect, worked the vineyards. The winery was founded by Alessandria brothers and today is managed by the agronomist Luciano Pira, with his wife Maura and his brother-in-law Walter. In addition to the vineyards in Serralunga district, the winery owns some vineyards in the district of Monforte d'Alba: all of this are used for the production of important Piedmontese red wines.
