This kind of wine is produced starting from the vineyards situated in the districts of Barbaresco and Treiso. This Sauvignon has a determined character, with a good balance and a good structure. The colour of it is straw yellow with some green nuances, and it presents an intense perfume with vegetal hints of cut grass in addition to peach’ and citrus fruits’ hints. This wine is excellent if served as appetizer or in combination with fish starters.
The estate Martinenga became property of the nobles Marchesi di Gresy in 1797: Alberto di Gresy spent his childhood in this building, by learning to appreciate that soil and its products. Alberto began the wines’ production of Tenuta Cisa Asinari of Gresy in 1973, starting from the lines, that at the beginning were used by other people, up to a real wines’ production.
Today the cave produces excellent wines that are exported in all the world.
