Malvasia doc Schiopetto 2019

Malvasia is one of the historical vines cultivated on the hills of Friuli. Malvasia of Schiopetto is an elegant and complex wine, produced with grapes harvested by hand and pressed at low temperature. With a beautiful bright straw yellow color with golden reflections, in the nose it develops an enveloping and fresh bouquet, characterized by fruity and floral hints. Fragrant and aromatic wine, in the mouth it is warm, rich, complex, characterized by a perfectly balanced final acidity. It is perfect to drink in combination with a good course of raw ham or first courses based on fish.

The history of the Schiopetto winery has its origins in Capriva, where Mario Schioppetto rented the vineyards of the Curia around the Archiepiscopal Palace in 1970. Mario was able to transform old and uncultivated lands into vineyards treated in detail, until finally  the vineyards of the Curia became his property in 1989. He managed to transmit his love and passion for tradition to his children who helped him to run the company over the years. The Schiopetto winery, which is owned by the Rotolo family since 2014, continues to be the voice of the philosophy of Mario Schioppetto and gives us excellent wines.
