Mario Schiopetto is the white wine best representing the philosophy of Schiopetto winery. 2015 was the first vintage, and it's an elegant and harmonious wine, produced with Friulano and a small part of Riesling grapes. In the glass it's straw yellow with golden shades. After 9 months of aging in stainless steel and further 6 months in bottle, it develops an elegant, delicate and fruity bouquet with notes of citrus, apple and exotic fruits. The sip is sapid and mineral, lightly salty, with enveloping and balanced sensations. Mario Schiopetto is an excellent white wine and we recommend it with pasta or main courses made up of fish or white meat.

The history of the Schiopetto winery has its origins in Capriva, where Mario Schioppetto rented the vineyards of the Curia around the Archiepiscopal Palace in 1970. Mario was able to transform old and uncultivated lands into vineyards treated in detail, until finally  the vineyards of the Curia became his property in 1989. He managed to transmit his love and passion for tradition to his children who helped him to run the company over the years. The Schiopetto winery, which is owned by the Rotolo family since 2014, continues to be the voice of the philosophy of Mario Schioppetto and gives us excellent wines.
