More info

Collio Friulano Schiopetto is a typical wine characterized by an excellent personality, made with 100% of Friulano grapes, a historical vine variety of Collio Goriziano. After an aging of 8 months on its lees in steel and further 5 months in bottle, the wine shows a beautiful intense straw yellow color with golden reflections. It develops intense and complex aromas, fruity and floral, with notes of apricot and wild flowers. In the mouth it is fresh, sapid and well balanced and it has a good structure.

Collio Friulano of Schiopetto is perfect to drink in combination with vegetables appetizers, such as omelettes and salad cake, or mushrooms and cold cuts.

Manufacturer

The history of the Schiopetto winery has its origins in Capriva, where Mario Schioppetto rented the vineyards of the Curia around the Archiepiscopal Palace in 1970. Mario was able to transform old and uncultivated lands into vineyards treated in detail, until finally  the vineyards of the Curia became his property in 1989. He managed to transmit his love and passion for tradition to his children who helped him to run the company over the years. The Schiopetto winery, which is owned by the Rotolo family since 2014, continues to be the voice of the philosophy of Mario Schioppetto and gives us excellent wines.
