Sauvignon doc Schiopetto 2020

Sauvignon by Schiopetto is a warm and enveloping wine, produced with grapes harvested by hand and aged for 8 months on its lees in steel tanks. It has a beautiful straw yellow color with greenish shades; in the nose it is warm, complex, floral and fruity with hints of exotic fruit and citrus. It is a fresh and savory wine; its taste is full-bodied, balanced and complex with balsamic notes of mint and nettle. Collio Sauvignon by Schiopetto is ideal with vegetarian starters, fish first courses and grilled shellfish.

The history of the Schiopetto winery has its origins in Capriva, where Mario Schioppetto rented the vineyards of the Curia around the Archiepiscopal Palace in 1970. Mario was able to transform old and uncultivated lands into vineyards treated in detail, until finally  the vineyards of the Curia became his property in 1989. He managed to transmit his love and passion for tradition to his children who helped him to run the company over the years. The Schiopetto winery, which is owned by the Rotolo family since 2014, continues to be the voice of the philosophy of Mario Schioppetto and gives us excellent wines.
