More info

The Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà by Giuseppe Cortese is a red wine of extreme elegance and finesse, produced only in the best years with Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Cru Rabaja, that is one of the most historic and renowned Cru in the municipality of Barbaresco. Wine with a tradiztional style, it refines 40 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and at least 3 years in the bottle. Endowed with a beautiful garnet red color, in the nose it expresses an ample and fruity bouquet, with notes of cherry, black cherry and plum, on a background of spices, leather and cocoa. Elegant and fine wine, it is well structured and balanced in the mouth. With fine and important tannins, a long and persistent finish, the Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà by Giuseppe Cortese is perfect to drink in combination with important dishes based on red meat. Wine with excellent aging potential, it can also be enjoyed on its own after a meal.

Manufacturer

The winery of Giuseppe Cortese is located in Rabaja region in Barbaresco, in the heart of the Langhe hills. The Cortese family has cultivated wine for about three generations, but it is since 1971 that they have started vinifying grapes on their own. The Giuseppe Cortese winery produces Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera, but is famous above all for its Barbaresco Rabajà. The Cortese winery doesn’t use chemical herbicides or any invasive treatment in its vineyards. Thanks to the optimal exposure of the vineyards, the favorable composition of the soils and to the uniqueness of the microclimate, the vines produce grapes of great quality that give life to great wines.
