More info

The Barbaresco by Marziano Abbona is a balanced and pleasant red wine, made with selected Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the North-Eastern part of Alba city. Barbaresco strikes you with a bright dark red colour, with ruby red shades. The nose is intense and complex, and reveals scents of ripe berries, strawberries, violet, spices and tobacco; the sip is rich, but soft and velvety, with delicate tannins giifting the wine a great texture. Thanks to these characteristics, we recommend the Barbaresco by Marziano Abbona with first courses, matured cheese typical of Langhe and Roero territory, roasts and braised beef. Eventually, it has a great ageing potential.

Manufacturer

Marziano Abbona

The Marziano Abbona’s cave was built in 1970, and it concludes its origins from Celso’s work, the father of Marziano, who has passed on the passion for wine, for vineyards and for soil. Almost 60 years ago, Celso decided to implant the Doriolo vineyards, that represented the best for the Dogliani Dolcetto’s production both for the exposition and for the soil’s nature. Once collected the heritage of his father, Marziano has obtained wines of high quality, by handling, devotion in the production of wines, which reflect the spirit of one of the best wine makers of the Langa.
