Alta Langa Extra Brut docg Abbona 2018

Alta Langa by Abbona winery is a champenoise method sparkling wine produced with Pinot Noir and a small amount of Chardonnay grapes. Made for the first time in 2014, the wine rests on its lees for 48 months, then the dégorgement takes place without adding liqueur d'expedition. In the glass it is straw yellow color with intense golden nuances and a fine and persistent perlage. In the nose it develops an aromatic and persistent bouquet with notes of yellow fruits, yeast and bread crust. In the mouth it is full-bodied and rich, balanced and fresh, characterized by an excellent persistence. Alta Langa by Abbona is recommended fresh with cold cuts, fresh cheese, fish appetizers and fried vegetables. 

The Marziano Abbona’s cave was built in 1970, and it concludes its origins from Celso’s work, the father of Marziano, who has passed on the passion for wine, for vineyards and for soil. Almost 60 years ago, Celso decided to implant the Doriolo vineyards, that represented the best for the Dogliani Dolcetto’s production both for the exposition and for the soil’s nature. Once collected the heritage of his father, Marziano has obtained wines of high quality, by handling, devotion in the production of wines, which reflect the spirit of one of the best wine makers of the Langa.
