SUST Nebbiolo doc Cieck 2018

The  Nebbiolo Sust of Cieck winery is an excellent red wine produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the hills around San Giorgio Canavese, north-east of Turin. The name "Sust" means desire in Piedmontese dialect, but it also means "caring". This Nebbiolo has a beautiful intense ruby red color with garnet red reflections; its scent is floral and slightly fruity with notes of violet, dried rose, black cherry and light spicy notes. The mouthfeel is elegant and fine, with an excellent structure, pleasantly tannic and characterized by a good persistence. The Nebbiolo Sust of Cieck is excellent to drink with long-cooked red meat, baked pasta with meat sauce, cold cuts and medium aged cheeses.

The Cieck Winery, founded in 1985 and managed by Domenico Caretto and Lia Falconieri, offers the best wines of the Canavese area, that is the northern portion of the Turin province. The pay great attention to the respect of the environment: the fight against parasites in the vineyard is strictly dealt with natural methods, also by consulting the Faculty of Agriculture of Turin. In the cellar, tradition is combined with technological innovation to transmit the peculiarities and characteristics of the territory to the wine as much as possible. Among the best products of the Cieck Winery: the Cieck Rosso, the Erbaluce di Caluso and the Passito Alladium.
