More info

The Etna Rosso of Carranco winery is a red wine produced with Nerello Mascalese that is considered the king among the autochthonous vine varieties in the Etna area. It has a nice ruby red color; its bouquet has floral and fruity scents, with notes of rose, thyme and spice. It is a well structured wine with a long, persistent and very elegant ending. The Etna Rosso of Carranco is perfect if drunk in combination with cold cuts, eggplant parmigiana as well as with seasoned and tasty cheeses.

Manufacturer

Tenuta Carranco was born from the meeting between the two wine producers Borgogno and Tornatore, a combination of history and experience. Borgogno, that is the owner of the oldest winery in Barolo, is one of the most important and historical producers of Langhe and Barolo. Tornatore instead, originally from Castiglione di Sicilia, is one of the very few indigenous wines producers of Etna region. In 2018, thanks to an idea of Farinetti, was born the will to exalt the typicality of a territory of Etna under the name of Carranco.
