The Guado al Tasso of Marchesi Antinori is a fine and elegant red wine, produced with Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (25%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Petit Verdot (2%) grapes coming from the estate with the same name. It takes its name from a curious phenomenon that often happens at the estate: it is possible to see spot badgers crossing streams run through the property. This wine shows a great ruby red color. The bouquet is elegant and composite, with herbs and spice notes and fruited scents of plum, blackberry and blueberry. The taste is persistent, intense, with a great structure and with a spiced aftertaste. It is perfect if drunk with risotti and pasta with red meat sauces, roasted or grilled red meat, game and aging cheeses.
The Antinory Family produced wine from more than 600 years, since 1385 when the young Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined in association of “Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri”.Today, the company is run by Albiera Antinori and her two sisters, who, in addition to the historic estate in Tuscany and Umbria, have to deal at new winery that have long been acquired in Italy and abroad.
The tradition and the passion for family terroir have contribute the marchesi Antinori to be an excellence in the vineyard overview and a flagship of “Tuscan taste” around the world.
