The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva of Poggio di Sotto is a very elegant and impressive red wine, produced only in the best vintages. After an aging of 42 months in large oak barrels, the Brunello di Montalcino Riserva of Poggio di Sotto winery shows a beautiful bright ruby red color tending to garnet; in the nose it it develops complex and intense aromas, with hints of cherry, withered rose and orange peel. Soft and mineral wine, in the mouth it is elegant, sapid, endowed with excellent structure and long and persistent finish. The Poggio di Sotto winery was founded in 1989 and is situated on a hill south-east of Montalcino. Claudio Tipa, the owner of Collemassari, a real domaine that in addition to Poggio di Sotto includes the Montecucco and Grattamacco estates, purchased the winery in 2011. Poggio di Sotto is known all over the world for its Brunello di Montalcino, thanks to both the quality of the grapes produced in vineyards located at the foot of Mount Amiata between 200 and 400 m above sea level and to the constant search for excellence.
