The Rosso di Montalcino of Casanova di Neri is a wine of great structure and elegance, produced with selected Sangiovese grapes and aged for 18 months in wood. With a beautiful intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, in the nose it develops an intense and fine bouquet, with notes of violets, cherries and small red fruits. Endowed with still young but well balanced tannins, in the mouth it is intense and persistent, savory. The Rosso di Montalcino of Casanova di Neri is perfect to drink in combination with typical Tuscan dishes, cold cuts and grilled red meats
The Casanova di Neri winery was founded by Giovanni Neri in 1971; he was a great wine lover who bought an estate in the Montalcino area and immediately began to enhance the potential of this territory. The characteristics and peculiarities of each single vineyard can be found in the wines of Casanova di Neri. The company currently owns 63 hectares of vines distributed in the territory of Montalcino, divided into 5 estates: Pietradonica, Le Centine, Cerretalto, Fiesole and Podernuovo, all grown following strict biological criteria, in full respect of nature, environment and ecosystem.
