More info

Villa Bucci Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOCG Riserva 2017 Classico is vinified with 100% Verdicchio grapes coming from the oldest vineyards. The yearly production is only 60/70 quintals per hectare and each vineyard is vinified separately. Then, the wine is refined in big Slavonia oak barrels for more than a year.
It is produced only with the best vintages, where the grapes present the highest organoleptic features.
It’s pale yellow with bright and intense shades. You can perceive complex notes of citrus, honey, nut and a delicate spicy scent. The sip is round, persistent and full-bodied. Excellent pairing with shellfish, oysters, sauces or pork meat. This wine should be served lightly fresh, not ice-cold. It’s better to uncork the bottle at least thirty minutes before serving the wine to let it oxygenate.

Manufacturer

Bucci family comes from Montecarotto, a town within Castelli di Jesi area in Marche. They are devoted to agriculture as far back as 1700. Vineyards cover about 31 hectares, whose 25 allocated to produce Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC and 6 to produce Rosso Piceno DOC, made up of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes. The yearly production counts 700 quintals of Verdicchio and 300 quintals of Rosso Piceno: the whole income comes from the property vineyards only. Bucci is famous for extra-virgin oil, too. Both vineyards and olive tree groves are cultivated using biological techniques for more than 20 years. The winery also owns 350 hectares where durum and soft wheat, corn, sugar beets, peas, seeds and sunflowers are cultured.
