The Sauvignon Blanc Albaclara Gran Reserva of the Marchesi Antinori’s Chilean estate, Haras de Pirque, is made exclusively by Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the Maipo Valley area. At sight, it has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. In the nose it develops a fruity and aromatic bouquet, with citrus, sage and lime fragrances on a slightly spicy background. In the mouth it’s well balanced, with good flavour and acidity that favour a long and persistent final. It is perfect to drink fresh as an aperitif or in combination with fish and shellfish.
The Haras de Pirque winery is located in Cile, in the North of the Maipo valley, that is a region very famous for the production of quality wines. This winery found an ideal partner in Marchesi di Antinory winery: in fact, their partnership was born for finding and sharing all the wine potentials of Chile. They created Albis, that is a wine created assembling some Cabernet Sauvignon with a Chilean vine variety, the Carmenere. In the convinction that Cile can be the ideal environment for growing Sauvignon, the winery started a new project creating “Albaclara”, an excellent white wine.
