Spumante Brut Millesimato Pas Dosè Contratto 2012

The Spumante Brut Millesimato of Contratto is produced with Pinot Nero (80%) and Chardonnay (20%) grapes. Its permanence in cave for almost 30 months gives to this sparkling wine refined and persistent little bubbles. It has a great golden color with amber reflexes; the sense of smell is intense and elegant, with floral and fruited bouquet of green apple, brioche and currant, on a background of yeast and bread crust. The taste is intense and velvety, at the same time fresh and persistent. This sparkling wine is perfect if drunk fresh as aperitif or in combination with white meats, fish and shrimps. 

The estate of Cascina Chicco has deep roots in the heart of the Roero and it explains the old rural culture and the passion for vineyards and wine of this territory. His consolidated tradition of wine makers has increased both by oenological modern competences, and by the other vineyards’ acquisitions in the most famous regions of the Roero. Today Cascina Chicco cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards all in hill, and the estate gains, with a great satisfaction, a huge production of Arneis, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Roero, Barbera d’Alba, Favorita and Brachetto.
