The Weissburgunder of Falkestein is a white pinot that is cultivated on the green hills of Trentino Alto Adige.
It shows an intense straw yellow color with greenish nuances.
At nose, it has a wide floral and fruity bouquet with notes of citrus and Mediterranean herbs.
The taste is elegant with a good sapidity on the final.
The Weissburgunder of Falkestein is excellent to drink with light starters, vegetable soups, fish dishes, white meats and fresh cheeses.
The Falkenstein cave springs up in 1995, when Bernardette and Franz Pratzner decide to abandon the fruits plantation in order to devote themselves in wines. Franz began to be interested in the 7 hectares that surrounded the Falkenstein estate, situated in the locality of Naturno, in Venosta Valley. Nowadays Franz produces mostly Riesling, a kind of wine that, during the manufacturing, requires diligence and attention: it develops in a territory rich of mineral sails and it can also pride a good exposition. In addition to this wine, the cave produces white Pinot, Sauvignon, Gewurtztraminer, too. Franz and his partners are engaged in aid of the variety that everybody has placed in the centre of the cave’s philosophy: in this manner they respect the climate conditions of the area, too, by discovering the different secrets of nature.
