Derthona Renato Boveri 2018

The Derthona of Renato Boveri winery is an elegant and intense white wine, produced with 100% Timorasso grapes cultivated in the area of Monleale. With a beautiful old golden yellow color, crystalline, in the nose it shows fruity and intense hints of peach and pear, with a slight hint of acacia honey. In the mouth it is soft and well balanced, characterized by good acidity and persistence. The Derthona of Renato Boveri is perfect to drink in combination with the classic raw meat beaten with a knife, cold cuts, white meats and medium aged cheeses.

Renato Boveri was born in Monleale in 1922. The company was founded in 1960 in Monleale by the founder Bartolomeo and then continued by his son Faustino, who gradually became one of the most renowned wine growers of the time, not only in Piemonte. Over the years the company has grown to include eight hectares of vineyards, all exclusively cultivated by Renato Boveri, helped by his wife Sonia and his sons Danilo and Fausto, using innovative techniques and cultivation methods with a low environmental impact. It is believed that Renato Boveri is the patriarch of the Timorasso of Colli Tortonesi and that his vineyard Sant'Ambrogio, with its almost 100 years, is the oldest of Italy.
