More info

The Barolo Gavarini Chiniera of Elio Grasso takes its name by the wineyards with the same name, situated in Monforte d’Alba. This wine has an intense ruby red color with orange reflexes. The bouquet is complex and fruity with aroma of little red fruits, blueberry and ripen cherry and with spiced scents of clove and black pepper. The taste is structured and strong, elegant and equilibrate, with a tannic note. With an excellent aging capability, it is perfect if drunk with roast or grilled red meats, stew meats, game and aging cheeses.

Manufacturer

The Elio Grasso winery was founded in Monforte d'Alba, in a region with a strong oenological vocation, in the heart of the production area of the king of wines: the Barolo. First of all, Elio and his family love to define themselves as "peasants", to reaffirm the importance of the "earth" as an absolute value. Starting from 1978, thanks to the diversification of production between Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto and Chardonnay, the winery produces 90000 bottles every year.
