Barbaresco docg Punset 2005

This elegant Barbaresco wine is produced following some biological procedures and it is certificated according to “Ecocert”. This wine is endowed with pleasantness and elegance, while its colour is dark red, with some other reflexes. The bouquet is various and intense, with floral and fruited perfumes of blueberries, strawberries, pomegranate, cherry, spices, chocolate and green pepper. This wine is perfect in combination with risotto and excellent first platters, roasted and braised beef or seasoned cheeses. Furthermore, it has a good capacity of aging.

The winery is settled in Neive, in the heart of the Langhe and the name of Punset has deep roots: in fact some people thought that the Castelborgo Counts used this little name, that means top or wonderful hill, in order to describe one of their estate, that they controlled from the castle where they lived. The property extends on a surface of 20 hectares of vineyards: the wine making process is directed by Marina Marcarino, who is really interested in vineyards. In fact, according to her idea, an excellent wine must include harmonious aspects.
