More info

Barolo Classico by Pianpolvere Soprano, produced for the first time in 2016 vintage, is a bottle with a classic and traditional style typical of the Barolo wines of Serralunga d'Alba. Produced with 100% carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes, it rests for a minimum of 18 months in French oak barrels, to then continue the refinement first in cement and then in bottle. At sight it shows an intense ruby red color; the nose reveals a large and composite bouquet, floral and fruity with notes of tobacco, red fruits and spices. The sip is elegant, round and soft, with important but well-balanced tannins. With long lasting finale taste, marked longevity and harmony, it is perfect to drink in combination with typical main courses of the Piedmontese tradition, game and aged cheeses.

Manufacturer

The name Pianpolvere has ancient origins, dates back to the ancient 1700 when Napoleon Bonaparte built a powder keg on his plots of land. The family Migliorini, owners of Podere Rocche dei Manzoni, owns it since 1998. Only Barolo is produced: only in the best vintages and using organic cultivation methods, without the use of chemical herbicides and using only organic fertilizers.
