More info

Wine endowed with balance and pleasantness, produced with Nebbiolo grapes, deriving from the “Fausoni” vineyard, near the district of Neive. As the other Barbaresco wines, it presents a dark red colour, with some ruby red reflexes, while the smell is intense and complex: in fact, you can perceive perfumes and scents of blueberries, strawberries, violet, spices and green pepper. The taste is fresh, endowed with softness and acidity: for these reasons, this wine is excellent if drunk together with first courses, risotto, seasoned cheeses, roasted and braised beef. Moreover, it has a particular, but good capacity of aging.

Manufacturer

Sottimano

Sottimano’s winery bought the Cottà country house in 1975, but it increased its sizes, following the purchases of other near territories. The cave is a family-run-business and today it is managed by Andrea, who is an oenologist like his father, who cultivates the 14 hectares of vineyards, collocated on the hills of Neive and these vineyards belong to Andrea’s family. In this cave Andrea produces four types of Barbaresco wines and two of Dolcetto, with the add of Barbera and Brachetto’s wine production.
