Langhe Riesling Herzu Germano Ettore 2021

The Herzù wine by Ettore Germano can be considerate one of the best Riesling produced in Piedmont. It is obtained with grapes that come from the Cigliè hills, in the Alta Langa area. These hills have calcareous and pebbly soil and are characterized by a fresh climate also in summer. This wine has a typical straw yellow color with green reflexes; it is rich of fruity scents, especially of exotic fruits that became vegetal and mineral. The taste is sapid, with an elegant structure and good aromatic quality, with a long and persistent final. The Langhe Riesling Herzu by Ettore Germano is perfect if drunk with fish fresh courses, fish entrèe, white meat and soups.

The winery Ettore Germano has very deep roots, as when the great grandfather Francesco and grandfather Alberto, began to produce small quantities of wine and to sell the grapes, which was the predominant activity in Serralunga at the time. The Alberto's son, Hector, so continued the work of his father and grandfather, becoming a skilled grafter and buying some neighboring plots with their property. The turning for the winery was given by the son of Hector, Sergio which began working with his family buying other small plots of land and making the first Chardonnay plant.
