More info

The Barolo “Cerreta” of Germano Ettore is produced with selected Nebbiolo grapes that come from the cru “Cerreta” in Serralunga d’Alba district.

It has an intense ruby red color, with oranges reflexes. It is a wine with a great complexity and equilibrium and it has an intense and fruity bouquet, with ripen fruit, vanilla and plum notes, that became leather and tobacco scents. The taste is dry, full and strong, with important tannins that are soften thanks to the refinement in barrique. It is perfect if drunk with second courses of red meat, aging cheeses and game.

The Barolo “Cerreta” of Germani Ettore is very suitable for long-lasting aging.

Manufacturer

The winery Ettore Germano has very deep roots, as when the great grandfather Francesco and grandfather Alberto, began to produce small quantities of wine and to sell the grapes, which was the predominant activity in Serralunga at the time. The Alberto's son, Hector, so continued the work of his father and grandfather, becoming a skilled grafter and buying some neighboring plots with their property. The turning for the winery was given by the son of Hector, Sergio which began working with his family buying other small plots of land and making the first Chardonnay plant.
