Description

The Dolcetto d’Alba “Cescu” by Angelo Negro e Figli is an authentic expression of Piedmontese tradition and the easy-drinking character of the Dolcetto grape variety. Produced in the hills of the Langhe and Roero areas, it comes from vineyards planted on calcareous clay soils rich in grey marl, which give the wine balance, freshness, and remarkable drinkability. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is fresh and fruity, with aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and red berries, complemented by delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is lively, smooth, and pleasantly tannic, with hints of plum and blueberry leading to a fresh and persistent finish. Vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged for about 5–6 months, “Cescu” preserves the true identity of Dolcetto: an honest, versatile wine with immediate appeal, perfect for everyday dining. Ideal with traditional Piedmontese appetizers, cured meats, stuffed pasta, flavorful first courses, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
