CONTRADA PC Passopisciaro 2019

The Contrada PC of Passopisciaro is an elegant and fine Sicilian white wine produced with 100% of Chardonnay grapes grown at 870-900 meters above sea level, on volcanic and sandy soil. The Contrada PC shows a beautiful golden and intense straw yellow color. Thanks to the aging in wood, in the nose it has a composite and intense bouquet, with floral and fruity aromas, with notes of elder flowers, ripe white fruit, citrus peel and pineapple. The taste is intense, full-bodied, fresh and savoury, characterized by a long and persistent finish. The Contrada PC of Passopisciaro winery can be considered one of the best Sicilian Chardonnay and is perfect to drink in combination with fish appetizers, raw fish, spaghetti with crustaceans or main courses of white meat.

The Passopisciaro winery is one of the properties of Andrea Franchetti, made from the renovation of an ancient “baglio” on the slopes of Etna, in the city of Castiglione di Sicilia. Thanks to the sunny climate and the excellent temperature range, excellent wines are produced mainly based on Nerello Mascalese.
