The Barolo Sarmassa Vigna Merenda by Scarzello is an elegant and fine wine, made with the best Nebbiolo grapes grown in the historic vineyard within the Sarmassa cru, characterized by different exposures and soils. Barolo wine with great structure and finesse, it is vinified with long macerations and delicate extractions. Aged in large wooden barrels for 30 months, the Sarmassa Vigna Merenda is a Barolo wine that is striking for its light and transparent ruby ​​red color. The olfactory profile is floral and elegant, characterized by notes of rose and geranium, in addition to small red fruits, cherries and fine spices. Mineral and medicinal herbal notesare highlighted  on the finish. The sip is pleasant and balanced, characterized by complex sensations and well-integrated tannins. Scarzello is a small winery that has belonged to the same family for generations and is located in the charming municipality of Barolo, in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe. Five and a half hectares of vineyards cultivated with authenticity and maximum respect for the environment, the ecosystem and biodiversity. The grapes grown in the various crus of the Municipality of Barolo are carefully selected and processed according to the highest quality standards. The annual production is around 25 thousand bottles. The wines produced are characterized by a classic style, thanks to long periods of aging exclusively in large barrels.
