More info

The Anjou Blanc of Thibaud Boudignon is an elegant and fine white wine, produced with 100% Chenin Blanc grapes grown with organic and biodynamic methods. The fermentation takes place in steel with the use of yeast, followed by aging in French and Austrian oak barrels. The wine shows a beautiful intense straw yellow color and the nose develops a fresh and floral bouquet, with notes of ripe pear, candied citrus fruits, honey and a slightly smoky background. The mouthfeel is lively and well structured, with soft honeyed notes and pleasing freshness. Endowed with a long and persistent final, the Anjou Blanc of Thibaud Boudignon’s winery is perfect to drink in combination with fish, seafood, pasta with vegetables and white meats.

Manufacturer

Thibaud Boudignon

The Domaine Thibaud Boudignon was founded in 2009 in Savennières, in the Loire Valley, by Thibaud Boudignon himself after having gained a long experience in important wineries first in the Bordeaux region and then in Burgundy. Immediately he distinguished himself for the production of white dry wines, produced with100% of Chenin Blanc applying strict organic and biodynamic cultivation methods, even if not certified. Today Thibaud Boudignon owns 3.5 hectares of vineyards, 2 of which are located in Anjou and 1.5 in Savennières, and produces only 1000 bottles, taking care personally of every aspect of production. The fermentation of its wines is made strictly with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks, followed by aging in French and Austrian oak barrels, being careful to avoid malolactic fermentation. The wines of Thibaud Boudignon are very fine and elegant Chenin Blanc with a good aging potential.
