More info

Barolo by Oddero is a strong and tannic red wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes coming from 3 different vineyards of Oddero estate, following the organic vinification rules. It has a shiny ruby red color and a deep and fruity bouquet, with scents of red fruits jam, violet, black pepper, tobacco, licorice, truffle and wet soil. The taste is rich, dry and persistent, with important tannins that give it strength and austerity. It is perfect with roasted or braised red meat and mature cheese.

Manufacturer

All along Oddero family is owner of vineyards, so it is very difficult to establish a precise beginning of the wine making process. Lorenzo and Luigi started to produce wine at the end of 800, starting from their vineyards of La Morra. Giacomo Oddero, grandfather of the present manager of this cave, took part of the International Exposition of Torino in 1991, where he proposed his Barolo wine. Presently the winery is carried on by Mariacristina and Mariavittoria, who have inherited by their father the cult of wine and its origins.
