More info

Barolo Villero by Oddero is produced with the grapes coming from Castiglione Falletto, in Piedmont. It is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes and the ageing lasts 30 months in oak barrels; then, the wine rests 12 more months in bottle. The wine is ruby red with intense shades. The bouquet is complex with notes of violet, berries, cocoa and licorice. The sip is elegant and fresh, the tannin is intense with a persistent after-taste. To be paired with game, braised meet and Piedmont traditional starters. Excellent as meditative wine.

Manufacturer

All along Oddero family is owner of vineyards, so it is very difficult to establish a precise beginning of the wine making process. Lorenzo and Luigi started to produce wine at the end of 800, starting from their vineyards of La Morra. Giacomo Oddero, grandfather of the present manager of this cave, took part of the International Exposition of Torino in 1991, where he proposed his Barolo wine. Presently the winery is carried on by Mariacristina and Mariavittoria, who have inherited by their father the cult of wine and its origins.
