Description

A timeless icon for lovers of traditional Barolo, Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello 2011 is a wine that embodies elegance, authenticity, and balance. Produced by one of the most historic wineries in the Langhe—renowned worldwide—it is made from hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes sourced from several vineyard sites: Cannubi, San Lorenzo, and Rué in Barolo, and the Rocche cru in La Morra. Following a long maceration and aging process in large Slavonian oak casks, the wine reveals a luminous garnet red in the glass. The nose is delicate and captivating, offering floral notes of dried rose and violet, hints of sandalwood, cherry, tea, and spice. On the palate, it is elegant and refined, perfectly balanced with a long, graceful finish and beautifully integrated tannins. Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello pairs wonderfully with classic dishes from Piedmontese cuisine, such as braised meats, game, or tajarin with white truffle. Also ideal as a meditative wine, this Barolo is built to age gracefully—but even today, it delivers profound emotion and complexity.
