Printi Roero docg Monchiero Carbone Riserva 2018

Roero Riserva Printi by Monchiero Carbone is an elegant red wine made with Nebbiolo grapes. The vineyard is located in Canale, within the Sru cru, with a beautiful South-West sun exposure. In the glass it is intense and bright ruby red, with semi-transparent texture. The bouquet is fruity and intense, wide and juicy, with notes of raspberry, strawberry, sweet spices like vanilla and cinnamon, tobacco. The sip is warm and really soft. After the full-bodied first sensation, the sweet and silky tannins reveal a long-lasting and harmonious aftertaste. Roero Riserva Printi by Monchiero Carbone has a great ageing potential and is recommended with game, braised and stewed meat, matured and blue cheese. 

Situated in Canale and in the heart of the Roero area, Monchiero Carbone winery has been founded in 1987. Marco Monchiero, a well-known enologist, and his wife Lucetta Carbone decided to unite the plots of their two families, who began to make wine at the beginning of 1900 and stopped a few years ago. The production of wine restarted in 1990, also because of the son Francesco who began to have enological studies. In the last years, the estate has grown up, thanks to the implantation of new vineyards: one of Arneis grapes on the Renesio hill, in Canale, and another one of nebbiolo grapes in the Anime hamlet. Mombirone and Printi vineyards, which are families propriety from many years, has been doubled.
