Roero Arneis docg La Val dei Preti Matteo Correggia 2015

The Roero Arneis La Val dei Preti by Matteo Correggia is a very particular white wine that is produced with 100% Arneis grapes grown in a historic Roero vineyard, La Val dei Preti, characterized by sandy soil. With a beautiful bright straw yellow color, it is fresh and sapid in the mouth, very persistent. The nose develops hints of fruit and flowers, inaddition to a mineral background. The Roero Arneis La val dei Preti by Correggia is an excellent white wine perfect to drink in combination with grilled fish, risotto with seafood and first courses with vegetables.

The cave of Matteo Correggia produces a huge choice of wines with its grapes that derive from 20 hectares of vineyards. The wines are sons of soils, where the vineyards have their roots: sandy soils, poor of clay and of silt, but rich in mineral sails and so appropriate for the production of elegant wines and also rich and refined bouquets. Matteo Correggia inherited the cave of his family in 1985 and he decided to carry on an ambitious project: that is make and produce wines of quality in an underrated territory. Today the cave is managed by Ornella Costa, wife of Matteo, who is dead very soon.
