Ruby red
Intense and spicy
Balanced and dry
The Pelaverga from the Comm. G. B. Burlotto winery is a distinctive red wine made exclusively from Pelaverga grapes grown in the area of Verduno, a small village located near Alba. It is produced from a rare native Piedmontese grape variety cultivated in one of Italy’s smallest and most fascinating appellations. In the glass, it displays a bright, light ruby-red color. The nose is intense and elegant, offering aromas of nutmeg, spices, black pepper, and wild strawberries. On the palate, it is fresh, well-balanced, dry, and persistent, with remarkable drinkability. Burlotto’s Pelaverga is an excellent companion to appetizers and traditional Piedmontese first courses, as well as white meats, grilled veal, mushrooms, and fresh or lightly aged cheeses.
