Barbera d'Alba doc Aves Comm. G. B. Burlotto 2021

Barbera d’Alba Aves by Comm. G. B. Burlotto is a powerful, energic and intense red wine, produced only during the best vintages, when the high quality standard allows a careful selection of grapes, coming only from the most ancient vineyards. In the glass it is ruby red with purple shades. The bouquet is elegant, with hints of red berries, ripe cherry, forest fruits. The sip is vibrant, juicy, persistent, with a strong freshness. Barbera d’Alba Aves by Comm. G. B. Burlotto is recommended with red meat, traditional first courses, cheese fondue and poultry game. 

The Burlotto winery is located near Verduno and was founded by the commendatore Giovan Battista Burlotto in the second half of the 19th century; the wines produced became a reference point in the Langhe soon. This was also thanks to the farsightedness of Giovan Battista, who began to sell wines in bottle in a period in which the wine was sold exclusively in demijohns or kegs. The current owner today is Marina Burlotto, which has 12 hectares of vineyards located in the area of Verduno, Barolo and Roddi, from which obtains an average production of 60,000 bottles.
