More info

The Cabernet Sauvignon Cor Römigberg of Alois Lageder is a very intense and fruity red wine, produced with 93% of Cabernet Sauvignon and with a small part of Petit Verdot (7%) grown on the Römigberg farm. The Cabernet Sauvignon Cor Römigberg has a beautiful ruby red color with garnet reflections; its perfume is aromatic and intriguing and it remembers the berries jam, licorice and spices. It is a wine with a very intense flavor, harmonious, structured, elegant and rich in fruity and spicy aromas: it is perfect to drink in combination with tasty main courses based on meat, such as roasts or grilled meat, or with a great chopping board of aged cheeses.

Manufacturer

Alois Lageder

The Alois Lageder winery was founded in Albions, a small mountain village in Val Gardena, in 1823. Johann Lageder started wholesale wine sales in 1924 and later his sons and grandchildren decided to buy vineyards and to produce wine themselves. With Alois Lageder, the company became a reference point in South Tyrol and synonymous of quality and excellence, producing wines that best represent the personality of the territory and the balance between tradition and innovation. Particular attention is paid to sustainable and ecological criteria: currently the 50 hectares of vineyards owned by the family are entirely cultivated with biodynamic methods. The company also collaborates with a certain number of selected winegrowers in South Tyrol: the extension of the vineyards covers further 110 hectares, a quarter of which are cultivated with biodynamic methods.
