Verduno Pelaverga doc Bel Colle 2022

The Verduno Pelaverga by Bel Colle is an excellent red wine produced with grapes of the homonymous ancient Piedmontese vine. After a fermentation only with indigenous yeasts, the wine shows a beautiful bright red color that assumes orange reflections with the aging. The nose develops an intense and fruity bouquet on which stand out notes of cherry, in addition to spicy hints of white pepper. The taste is harmonious, dry, balanced and with an excellent structure. Fresh and spicy, the Verduno Pelaverga Bel Colle is ideal to drink in combination with cold cuts, a good mushroom risotto or a second fish course. A curiosity: the label of Verduno Pelaverga by Bel Colle reproduces a painting by the painter Pinot Gallizio, a man who loved the flavors and traditions of Langhe hills.

The Bel Colle winery was founded 45 years ago by two brothers Franco and Carlo Pontiglione and Giuseppe Priola. Since 2015, the company has become the property of the Bosio family, native of Santo Stefano Belbo, who renewed the technologies of the winery, without giving up the tradition. The Belcolle winery owns vineyards in the best crus of the hills of Verduno and La Morra and it practices sustainable viticulture, followed by the manual harvest and the soft pressing of the bunches. The wines produced by the company are distinguished by their balance and freshness.
