Barbera d’Alba Superiore doc Le Masche Bel Colle 2019 Magnum

The Barbera d'Alba Superiore "Le Masche" of Bel Colle winery is a pleasant and fragrant red wine, produced exclusively with the best Barbera grapes. After aging in small oak barrels and a few months in bottle, the Barbera "Le Masche" shows a beautiful intense ruby red color, with light garnet reflections. Its bouquet is very fragrant and vinous, with pleasant hints of spices, cherries in spirits and blackberries. In the mouth its taste is dry, harmonious, full-bodied and slightly tannic on the final. With a good acidity, the Barbera "Le Masche" of Bel Colle is a perfect wine to drink in combination with tasty main courses of meat, such as roasted or braised meats, egg pasta with meat sauce or aged cheeses.

The Bel Colle winery was founded 45 years ago by two brothers Franco and Carlo Pontiglione and Giuseppe Priola. Since 2015, the company has become the property of the Bosio family, native of Santo Stefano Belbo, who renewed the technologies of the winery, without giving up the tradition. The Belcolle winery owns vineyards in the best crus of the hills of Verduno and La Morra and it practices sustainable viticulture, followed by the manual harvest and the soft pressing of the bunches. The wines produced by the company are distinguished by their balance and freshness.
