Description

La Grande Bleue by Gérard Bertrand is an organic white wine that celebrates the very essence of the Mediterranean Sea. Produced in the south of France, this wine is a skillful blend of emblematic southern French grape varieties, offering vibrant freshness and a unique, captivating aromatic profile. The grapes are harvested during the coolest hours of the day to preserve their freshness and aromatic intensity. Each variety is vinified separately to best express its individual character before blending. In the glass, it displays a pale yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, the bouquet is complex and fresh, opening with expressive aromas of white-fleshed fruit, complemented by citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit and floral touches of white flowers and hawthorn. The Viognier and Grenache contribute a subtle exotic note and added complexity to the ensemble. On the palate, it is lively and refreshing, with a marked minerality that reflects the influence of the sea. The finish is long, saline, and elegant, evoking the sea breezes of southern France. La Grande Bleue by Gérard Bertrand is perfect served chilled as an aperitif, or paired with seafood, grilled fish, summer salads, and light Mediterranean dishes.
