Le Sabbie dell’Etna Bianco doc Firriato 2020

Le Sabbie dell'Etna Bianco of Firriato winery is a wide and intense white wine, made with Carricante and Catarratto grapes grown on the slopes of Etna, on volcanic soils characterized by climatic conditions completely different from the rest of Sicily. A mineral and aromatic wine, with a distinct sapidity, it has a beautiful straw yellow color with greenish reflections. In the nose it develops fresh and complex aromas, floral and fruity, with notes of mimosa, broom, white peach, pear and peach. Wine with an excellent structure, fresh and deep, it is perfect to drink in combination with first or second courses of fish.

At the end of the 70s Salvatore di Gaetano, has always been passionate about wine and enology, became attracted to the area of Trapani and gave life to one of the most representative wineries in Sicily. The name "Firriato" comes from the homonymous district where the winery is located. The extraordinary variety of climates and soils favorable to the production of wine of the different vineyards owned, as well as the techniques used, give rise to exceptional wines that are unique expression of the Sicilian territory. Among the top wines there is 'Harmonium”, a Nero d'Avola wine that always gets excellent awards, and other high quality red wines: Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Frappato. Even the white wines produced by Firriato, such as Catarratto and Grillo, are wines of excellent quality.
