Le Sabbie Dell’Etna Rosso doc Firriato 2019

Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso of Firriato winery is a wine of great personality, that is born from grapes of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grown on the slopes of Etna, at an altitude ranging from about 550 to 700 meters above sea level. This wine shows a beautiful intense and brilliant ruby red color, with violet nuances. In the nose it develops a broad and composite bouquet, with elegant notes of berries, blueberries, cherries and plum jam. In the mouth it is fresh, slender, sapid and well balanced. Clear interpretation of the exclusive terroir of Etna, Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso of Firriato winery is perfect to drink in combination with red meats, cured meats and mature cheeses, risotto with porcini mushrooms and speck.

At the end of the 70s Salvatore di Gaetano, has always been passionate about wine and enology, became attracted to the area of Trapani and gave life to one of the most representative wineries in Sicily. The name "Firriato" comes from the homonymous district where the winery is located. The extraordinary variety of climates and soils favorable to the production of wine of the different vineyards owned, as well as the techniques used, give rise to exceptional wines that are unique expression of the Sicilian territory.
