More info

The Luigi Spertino Barbera d'Asti is made by spontaneously fermented Barbera grapes. Thanks to the maturation of eighteen months in Slavonian oak barrels and the refinement of four months in bottle, it shows itself with a beautiful intense ruby red colour, to produce fragrances of wild berries with hints of cocoa and licorice later. On the palate, it is balanced and full with a persistent final. It is excellent to drink in combination with soups, game and aged cheeses.

Manufacturer

The Luigi Spertino winery is located in Mombercelli, in the province of Asti. Mauro inherited from his father Luigi the same philosophy: to produce quality wine by focusing on short supply chains to ensure sustainability environmental as well as economic. The excellences of the Spertino winery, which nowadays produces forty thousand bottles a year, are without a doubt the Barbera d'Asti and the Grignolino.
