Pinot Nero doc Marjun Cantina Tramin 2018

The Pinot Noir Marjun of Tramin winery is a red wine characterized by an inviting elegance and a pleasing tannic structure. It is produced exclusively with Pinot Noir grapes grown in calcareous-clayey soils in a hilly area at 350 to 650 meters and harvested by hand. After a refinement of 11 months in small steel containers, the wine is transferred to large oak barrels for an additional aging. The wine shows a beautiful ruby red with garnet nuances; the nose is fruity with hints of berries and cherries with light hints of spices. In the mouth it transmits a pleasant sensation of freshness; with light tannins, it is characterized by a fruity and slightly spicy finish. The Pinot Noir Marjun is great to drink with red meat, game or with a nice platter of tasty cheeses.

The Tramin winery located in Termano in Trentino Alto Adige, was founded in 1889 thanks to the idea of Christian Schrot to give support to mountain winemakers. In a short time the company Tramin became a cooperative winery in which 160 families participate today.
The main stages that have marked the history of the winery are:
- In 1971 the Tramin company merges with the winery of Egna and it acquired the prestigious land in Mazzon and Glen dedicated to Pinot Noir
- In the 90s thanks to the cooperation with the enologist Willi Stürz begins the production of the Selection wines
- In 2010 the new headquarters of winery was inaugurated, which has become a symbol of Termeno in 2018, Epokale was launched; it is the Gewürztraminer that for the first time was awarded the 100/100 Parker points by Wine Advocate.
Over time, Cantina Tramin has become one of the most prestigious wineries in Trentino Alto Adige, with an annual production of 1.9 million bottles.
