Nussbaumer Gewürztraminer Doc Cantina Tramin 2020

Nussbaumer Gewürztraminer by Tramin winery is the most awarded Gewürztraminer in Italy. Produced exclusively with grapes harvested by hand in small containers, it is a white wine characterized by an elegant structure and a very pleasant acidity. Nussbaumer unveals a bright straw yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose develops a floral and fruity bouquet with hints of rose and white flowers, ripe yellow fruits, melon, lemon peel. The final expresses pleasant notes of aromatic spices such as nutmeg, saffron and ginger. The taste is full-bodied, slightly spicy, intense, fresh and characterized by an extremely persistent after-taste. Nussbaumer Gewürztraminer is perfect in combination with fish, blue cheeses or typical dishes of Thai cuisine.

The Tramin winery located in Termano in Trentino Alto Adige, was founded in 1889 thanks to the idea of Christian Schrot to give support to mountain winemakers. In a short time the company Tramin became a cooperative winery in which 160 families participate today.
The main stages that have marked the history of the winery are:
- In 1971 the Tramin company merges with the winery of Egna and it acquired the prestigious land in Mazzon and Glen dedicated to Pinot Noir
- In the 90s thanks to the cooperation with the enologist Willi Stürz begins the production of the Selection wines
- In 2010 the new headquarters of winery was inaugurated, which has become a symbol of Termeno in 2018, Epokale was launched; it is the Gewürztraminer that for the first time was awarded the 100/100 Parker points by Wine Advocate.
Over time, Cantina Tramin has become one of the most prestigious wineries in Trentino Alto Adige, with an annual production of 1.9 million bottles.
