More info

The "Comtes de Champagne" is the champagne that best represents the style and elegance of the Maison Taittinger. Produced only in the best vintages, it is part of the elite of the most prestigious Champagnes and it is the expression of the cultivation of Chardonnay in the best terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. Exceptional wine, that is the result of exceptional climatic conditions, it shows a beautiful brilliant straw yellow color and fine perlage, light and continuous. The bouquet is rich and composite with fresh notes of citrus fruit that open up to aromas of white pepper, orange blossom, dried fruit and raisin. The taste is lively and harmonious, well balanced, persistent and with a pleasant slightly honeyed final. The "Comtes de Champagne" of Taittinger is the wine of great occasions, which can be enjoyed alone or in combination with second courses based on fish, shellfish or seafood.

Manufacturer

The Maison Taittinger was founded thanks to Pierre Taittinger, who has always been fond of gastronomy and sparkling wines and bought the castle de la Marquetterie in 1932. The company has grown a lot over the years, up to become one of the most important producers of Champagne in the world. The Maison Taittinger is located near the city of Reims where in the historic underground cellars of the Abbey of Saint-Nicaise, the wines rest for a long time on their lees before being assembled by the Chef de Caves. The careful work in the vineyard, combined with the art and the talent of the latter give life to Champagne wines with a unique style.
