Sylvaner Köfererhof 2020

The Sylvaner Köfererhof is an exceptional white wine produced with grapes coming from 30 yeas old vineyards of Sylvaner located between 700 and 800 meters above sea level. Pleasantly fresh and mineral wine, it has a beautiful straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Its bouquet is floral and aromatic, with notes of aromatic herbs and white fruit, in addition to a pleasant mineral note on the finish. Wide and complex wine, in the mouth it is elegant and fine, fresh, pleasantly sapid and characterized by a mineral and persistent finish. The Sylvaner Köfererhof is ideal to drink in combination with fish appetizers, pasta courses with vegetables or with fresh goat cheese.

The winery Köfererhof is located in Novacella, on a hill of Bressanone at the foot of the Dolomites. The winery has operated as a grape company for many years and Gunther Kerschbaumer began bottling its wines only in 1995. Since then the quality of the wines produced improved harvest after harvest, so much that the wines of the Köfererhof winery became among the best in Italy soon. The weather conditions typical of South Tyrol are very special and are characterized by important temperature ranges between day and night; they contribute to the production of excellent white wines, amplifying the aromas and aromatic complexity of the wines. The production of Köfererhof is particularly focused on autochthonous and typical vine varieties of Alto Adige, such as Pinot Grigio, Pinot Blanc and Müller Thurgau but also Riesling Italico, Gewürztraminer and Sylvaner.
