The Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers of Guy Amiot winery is a Chardonnay that impresses with its finesse and elegance, which after fermentation in wood at natural cellar temperature, rests for 18 months in French oak barrels before being bottled. It has a beautiful bright straw yellow color; in the nose it reveals fresh and floral aromas, with hints of white fruit, with a mineral final. The mouthfeel strikes for its freshness, accompanied by delicate and mineral aromas. The Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers of Guy Amiot is a wine to forget for at least 5 years in the cellar to fully enjoy its aromatic potential! It is perfect to drink in combination with risotto with vegetables, seafood or main courses of baked or salted fish.
The Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils, now managed by Guy Amiot with the help of his son Thierry, is one of the best domaine de la Côte de Beaune. It is located in Chassagne-Montrachet, a small town with less than 500 inhabitants where some of the best white wines in the world are produced. The first vineyards were acquired in 1920, many of which are located within the Grand Cru Montrachet, one of the most famous appellations of the Côte de Beaune. The new cellar, finished in 1995, is characterized by special elliptical vaults, ideal for the natural maturation of wines, in the limestone rock of "Les Caillerets" hill.
