Barolo docg Gianni Gagliardo 2017

The Barolo of Gianni Gagliardo winery is a complex and powerful red wine, produced with 100% of Nebbiolo grapes grown in different vineyards in the district of La Morra, Monforte, Serralunga, Barolo and Verduno. It has a beautiful ruby red color, while in the nose it is pleasant, floral and fruity with hints of dried rose, ripe red fruit, berries and coffee. The mouthfeel is elegant, complex, balanced, harmonious, pleasantly tannic, persistent and confirms the fruity notes perceived into the nose. Brolo of Gianni Gagliardo is perfect to drink in combination with tasty second courses of meat such as game or lamb cooked on the grill.

The history of the winery Poderi Gianni Gagliardo derives in the distant 800, in the district of Santo Stefano Belbo with the Colla Family. Generation after generation,  Paolo Gagliardo reached La Morra, where he began to vinify the Barolo wine. In 1990 his second son Alberto joined the company and later Stefano after his studies at the Enologica school.  Finally in 2010, after completing his studies at the University of Agraria, his third and final son Paolo joined the company. In July 2017, the family acquired the Tenuta Garetto, a beautiful estate located in Agliano Terme, in the heart of the production area of Barbera d'Asti. All the wines produced come from their own vineyards and are characterized by the constant search for elegance and character.
